GoodGrove is operated by Arven Brands LLC ("GoodGrove," "we," "us," "our"), a New York limited liability company with a mailing address at 418 Broadway, Ste N, Albany, NY 12207. This page lets U.S. residents in eligible states exercise privacy rights under their state's law and explains how to submit a request. For full details about our data practices, see our Privacy Policy.
SECTION 1 - ABOUT THIS PAGE
This is where U.S. residents in eligible states can submit privacy requests under their state's law — for example, to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold, receive a portable copy, opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for advertising, limit use of sensitive personal information, withdraw marketing consent, or appeal a prior decision.
SECTION 2 - WHO THIS APPLIES TO
The rights below are available to U.S. residents in states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws — California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Exact rights, thresholds, and exceptions vary by state; we will honor each request to the fullest extent required by your state's law. Residents of other states may still submit a request and we will respond on a good-faith basis where we are able.
SECTION 3 - WHAT YOU CAN REQUEST
Depending on your state of residence, you may have any or all of the following rights:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, including categories, sources, purposes, and categories of third parties we have shared it with.
- Access a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information we hold about you.
- Delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to limited legal exceptions.
- Portability — receive a copy of your information in a portable, readily usable format.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Opt out of targeted advertising on the Site and across our marketing channels.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information to purposes necessary to provide the products and services you have requested.
- Withdraw consent for marketing (you can also do this via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by replying STOP to any marketing text).
- Appeal if we deny your request in whole or in part.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised these rights.
SECTION 4 - HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST
Use either of the two methods below. Both reach the same team and are treated equivalently.
(a) Email
Email privacy@trygoodgrove.com with subject "PRIVACY REQUEST — [type of request]" (e.g., "PRIVACY REQUEST — Delete"). In the body, include: (i) the type of request, (ii) your full name, (iii) the email address associated with your GoodGrove account or order, and (iv) your state of residence.
(b) U.S. Mail
Mail your request to Arven Brands LLC, Attn: Privacy, 418 Broadway, Ste N, Albany, NY 12207, with the same information described in (a).
SECTION 5 - VERIFICATION
To protect your privacy, we must verify identity before we disclose, correct, or delete personal information. We may ask you to confirm details matching our records — for example, the email on your account, an order number, or the shipping ZIP on a recent order. We will use verification information only for verification, and we will not deny a verifiable request based on inability to verify identity if a reasonable alternative method is available.
SECTION 6 - AUTHORIZED AGENTS
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf if the agent provides: (a) a copy of a power of attorney executed by you under applicable state law, OR signed written permission from you authorizing the agent to submit the specific request; AND (b) information sufficient for us to verify your identity by reasonable methods. We may contact you directly to confirm authorization. If the agent cannot prove authorization, or we cannot verify your identity, we may deny the request.
SECTION 7 - RESPONSE TIMELINE
We will respond to a verifiable request within forty-five (45) days of receipt. Where reasonably necessary, considering the complexity and number of your requests, we may extend the response period by an additional forty-five (45) days. If we need to extend, we will notify you within the original 45-day window and explain the reason.
SECTION 8 - FREE OF CHARGE
We do not charge a fee to respond to a verifiable request. If a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive — for example, because it is repetitive — we may charge a reasonable fee to cover administrative costs or decline to act on the request, in which case we will explain our decision and your right to appeal.
SECTION 9 - RIGHT TO APPEAL
If we deny your request in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to the denial email or by emailing privacy@trygoodgrove.com with subject "APPEAL" and a brief explanation. We will respond within sixty (60) days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact your state's Attorney General.
SECTION 10 - GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL (GPC)
Global Privacy Control is a browser-level signal that tells websites you do not want your personal information sold or shared for advertising. When you visit the Site from a browser configured with GPC, we treat the signal as a valid opt-out of "sale" and "sharing" for residents of states whose laws recognize GPC. Because GPC is a per-browser signal, you may need to enable it in each browser and on each device. To extend your opt-out to information you have provided directly (such as the email on your account), submit a request using one of the methods in Section 4.
SECTION 11 - COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, pseudonymous device and browser identifiers, and tracking pixels to operate the Site, run analytics, support marketing, and measure advertising. Active providers include Klaviyo (email and SMS), WeTracked (advertising attribution, including data shared with advertising platforms), Shop.app and Shop Pay (express checkout), and Shopify (hosting and payments). See the "Cookies and Similar Technologies" section of our Privacy Policy for full details. To opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for advertising, submit a request using Section 4 or browse with GPC enabled.
SECTION 12 - CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), including the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. California residents also have rights under California's "Shine the Light" law (Cal. Civ. Code Section 1798.83). See the "California Residents," "Sensitive Personal Information," and "Shine the Light" sections of our Privacy Policy.
SECTION 13 - PRIVACY POLICY
